Roselyn Sanchez was born on March 14, 1970 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Roselyn has been involved in music, dancing and performing since a very young age, she began ballet lessons at age four and piano lessons at age six. By the age of 15 she was appearing in commercials and music videos. Later, Roselyn landed a job as co-host, dancer and choreographer on "Que Vacilon", Puerto Rico's number 1 weekly television comedy and variety show.

Roselyn moved to New York City at age 21 to take dance, acting, and singing classes. She debuted on American TV in the successful 1997-1998 TV series "Fame L.A.", which was also aired in more than 80 countries all around the world.

Concerning her goals for the future, Roselyn Sanchez loves to dance, act, and sing, and she wants to do it all. She says, "My favorite type of dancing is Jazz and I love to Salsa. I would like to be able to play a part where my Puerto Rican background has no significance to by character. I want to be given parts based on my talent not just type cast".
